VALIKO MANAGERIAL TRAINING PROGRAMME

VALIKO is an advanced development and training programme for senior/middle managers working in the insurance and finance sector. The programme has been designed with an aim to give a deeper and wider view of the whole finance and insurance scene and to outline future success factors. It develops leadership and management skills and gives tools for analytic thinking.

The programme focuses on the following themes:

- Business environment and strategies

includes key legislation and the significance of insurance and financial sectors to the national economy, management accounting, finance and investments

- Strategic management and leadership

includes customer relationship management, knowledge management and transformational leadership

- Globalisation of business and future perspectives

includes integration of financial services and future development scenarios

The program is carried out in eight sessions of two or three days and a project paper to be passed before completion. Between the sessions the participants study in the virtual learning environment of the Insurance Institute.

An international excursion makes up an important part of the programme with presentations and visits in several companies and organisations of insurance and finance branch.
